Why weight distribution matters

Poor weight distribution can cause axle-load problems in rail transport and affect driving stability in road transport. Either case can lead to a shipment being flagged or rejected at handover.

We plan cargo distribution to stay within permitted axle and total weight limits, and document the securing in a form that holds up at handover.

02

Load securing for combined transport

Requirements for securing can differ between rail and road legs of a journey. We align the securing method so it remains valid for the full transport route, not just the first leg.

03

Our reference framework: standards and guidelines

For load securing we work to the internationally recognised UIC loading guidelines for rail transport, along with DIN EN 12195 for calculating securing forces. Final sign-off on securing remains with the relevant carrier or shipper.

04

How a load-securing assignment runs

After a site assessment and confirming cargo type, we plan team size and securing method. The assignment itself covers securing, a weight-distribution check, and final documentation.

Service area: DACH region

We carry out projects in Germany and Austria. Cross-regional assignments are priced on a project basis.
